Community Collaborative Drawing Project
Other Gallery, Glyde Hall, The Banff Centre

Montreal-based artists Jim Holyoak and Matt Shane collaborate with Jasper Leo (& youth from local elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as members of the public) to create an immersive and collaborative drawing installation. Challenging preconceptions that a gallery’s function is limited to the presentation of art, the collaboration will be energized by a shared experience of exploration and experimentation. Says Holyoak of Jasper Leo: "We are honoured to be on Jasper Leo's site, and to have had him come in to draw with us. He is by far the youngest participant, and it's super interesting to watch him work. He is already sensitive to the contact between the brush and the wall, and to the physical and taste elements of visual art."
