From big ferries sailing across the Straight of Georgia to a little water taxi to Granville Island, Jasper loves the yachting life!

Jasper has lived all  of his 7 months during the winter in the Canadian Rockies, so his only experience of the outdoors has been of  cold , snow and wind. It was a new experience for J to interact with a tree and our first time actually playing with him outside.

Tropical Saltspring

Were these photos taken in California? Bermuda? Nope, right here in Canada. Yes, there are actually places up in the Great White North where palm trees grow outdoors in March, eh?!

 

Jasper does the Vancouver Art Gallery

As you already know, J is a real culture vulture. There were some really interesting exhibits at the VAG, but Jasper enjoyed the one about the Vancouver Manifesto the most.

Vancouver Waterfront

The Sylvia Hotel where we stayed with Grandma is right on the waterfront probably right behind E's head in this picture. We considered staying there this time too but chose Robson St. a few blocks away instead.

Birds on the trip

In addition to the chickens and turkeys, we also saw bald eagle, great blue heron, swans, peacocks and emus (not to mention numerous ducks, geese, and seabirds) on our adventures.

The last few days of winter. At 6:30 am Jasper sometimes likes to read a book in bed before getting up. Headlamp will only necessary for a few more days because once daylight savings kicks in he'll only have to open the curtain to let the light in.
